HEARING REGARDING ADOPTION OF THE ANNUAL PLAN UPDATE
CITY

The
Berkeley Housing Authority (BHA) is proposing adoption of the
Agency’s Annual Plan update for Fiscal Year 2002-2003.
The Plan outlines the BHA goals and objectives for Fiscal
Year 2003 for its Section 8 and Public Housing Programs.
Public housing authorities are required to adopt the
updated Plan as mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development.
The
draft Plan was published on April 5, 2002, which commenced a
45-day public comment period.
During this time, the public has the opportunity to
comment on the Plan contents.
Copies of the Plan are available for review during normal
business hours at the following locations: 1901 Fairview Street
(Berkeley Housing Authority), 2180 Milvia Street (Housing
Department), and 2121 Allston Way (Berkeley Central Library).
The
draft Plan was prepared with the assistance and input from the
Resident Advisory Board (RAB).
The ten members of the RAB consist of five Section 8
participants appointed by the BHA Board and the five members of
the Public Housing Resident Council.
The specific role of the RAB is to advise the BHA on the
development and update of the Agency’s Annual Plan update.
