REGARDING FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2002

AGENCY PLAN AMENDMENT

The hearing is being held to solicit public comment on the BHA’s Federal Fiscal Year 2002 Agency Plan Amendment to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The amendment includes two significant initiatives: 1. Project base of up to a maximum of 260 Section 8 Vouchers in the City of Berkeley and 2. Request for HUD’s authorization to mortgage the BHA’s public housing project as security for a $1.4 million Section 8 loan to finance the rehabilitation of BHA-owned units.
