Action:  Moved, seconded, carried (Maio/Armstrong; Absent Spring, Worthington) to adopt the Consent Calendar in one motion except as indicated:

  1. Minutes for Approval
    From:  Executive Officer
    Recommendation:
      Approve the minutes for Authority meeting of:  a).February 19, 2002 (regular).

    Action:  Approved minutes.

  1. Amendment to the BHA Administrative Plan

    From:  Executive Officer

    Recommendation:  Adopt a Resolution re-adopting the Berkeley Housing Authority Section 8 Administrative Plan and rescinding Resolution No. 588 and all subsequent amendments.

    Action:  Moved to Consent Calendar by Authority Member Maio.  Adopted Resolution No. 652  (Absent: Spring,  Worthington)

     

  2. Appointments to Section 8 Resident Advisory Board  (to be delivered)

    From:  Housing Authority Nominating Subcommittee

    Recommendation:  Adopt a Resolution accepting the recommendations of the Housing Authority Nominating Subcommittee and confirming appointments to the Section 8 Resident Advisory Board.

    Action:  Moved, seconded, carried (Maio/Worthington) to adopt Resolution No. 653  appointing Gary Brown, Ed Joseph, Earnest Darden, Carroll Huff, and Regina Bess to the Section 8 Resident Advisory Board with Alicia Nelson as an alternate;  and appointing Pinkie Payne as Board liaison to the Public Housing Resident Advisory Board; and 3) appointing Helen Wheeler as Board liaison to the Section 8 Resident Advisory Board.
