Preliminary Matters
Roll Call:
Comments from the Public: A total of 30 minutes is scheduled. Each speaker is limited to a maximum of 3 minutes.
Authority Action: The Housing Authority may take action related to any subject listed on the Agenda.
Consent Calendar
The Authority will consider removal and addition of items to the Consent Calendar prior to voting on the Consent Calendar. All items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be approved in one motion. Items removed from the Consent Calendar will be taken up after the “Action Calendar” unless the Authority reorders the agenda.

Recommendation: Approve Housing Authority minutes of June 17, 2003 (regular).

2. Contract: Property Management (PDF, 273 KB)

Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Executive Officer to execute a contract and any amendments with Affordable Housing Associates (AHA) for the property management and maintenance of the Berkeley Housing Authority public housing units for the period September 1, 2003 through July 31, 2004 in an amount not to exceed $345,000, with an option to renew an additional twelve-month period in an amount not to exceed $425,000.

3. Three Project-Based Section 8 Vouchers (PDF, 339 KB)

Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution approving the issuance for 3 additional affordable Project-Based Section 8 Vouchers to the 14 previously allocated to Affordable Housing Associates (AHA) and authorizing the Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to initiate the vouchers.

4. Twelve Project-Based Section 8 Vouchers (PDF, 314 KB)

Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution approving issuance for 12 additional affordable units of the Outback Senior Homes Development, Project-Based Section 8 Certificate/Vouchers to Affordable Housing Associates (AHA) and authorizing the Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to initiate the Project-Based Section 8 Vouchers.
