meeting will be conducted in accordance with the Brown Act, Government Code
Section 54953, Teleconferencing. Any
member of the public may attend this meeting at either the Council Chambers or
at the teleconference location.

Preliminary Matters
Roll Call
Public Comment: A total of 30 minutes is scheduled. Each speaker is limited to a maximum of 3 minutes.
Authority Action: The Housing Authority may take action related to any subject listed on the Agenda.
Consent Calendar
The Authority will consider removal and addition of items to the Consent Calendar prior to voting on the Consent Calendar. All items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be approved in one motion. Items removed from the Consent Calendar will be taken up after the "Action Calendar" unless the Authority reorders the agenda.

Recommendation: Conduct a public hearing and upon conclusion, adopt a Resolution approving the Housing Authority's Five-Year and Annual Plan for FY 2005-2009 and authorizing the Executive Officer to certify and submit the Five-Year and Annual Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

3. Amendment to the Administrative Plan Including Prioritization for Families Displaced by Hurricane Katrina (PDF, 332 KB) (To be delivered)

Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution approving the Berkeley Housing Authority’s amended Section 8 Administrative Plan, which has been revised to comply with Fair Housing requirements and rescinding Resolution No. 694.

4. Annual Management Assessment for Public Housing Agencies (PDF, 2 MB)

Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Executive Officer to electronically submit the Annual Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) management operations certification report to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2005.
