- REFUSE COLLECTION RATES
The City of Berkeley Department of Public Works is proposing a 4%
increase in refuse collection rates to cover anticipated increases
in the refuse collection and disposal costs. Additionally,
a new fee will be established for the one-time bin service for 2-6
cubic yard bins. Also,
a new 20-gallon cart service will be implemented to encourage
recycling, while. rates will be reduced for commercial collection of
compostable waste, and for rental of front and real loading bins.
