The City of Berkeley Department of Parks Recreation and
Waterfront is proposing to increase the fees for floating homes by: 1)
including floating homes in the berth rate fee for all berthers with
48 and 52 foot slips; and 2) imposing the $125/per month live-aboard
fee to all floating home berths in the Berkeley Marina.
The fee schedule will increase berth fees for floating home
owners to $5.65/foot per month for 48 foot berths and $5.90/foot per
month for 52 foot berths.
The fees are intended to bring the floating
home berths into the same fee schedule with other live-aboard vessels
berthed in the Marina. The
fees assist the City in covering costs associated with maintaining
public facilities at the Marina and in providing services to persons
who use the Marina. The fee increases will generate approximately $7,700 the
first year and thereafter will be affected by the same adjustments
applied to all other berthers in the Marina.

private docks in the Marina, to be paid annually to the Berkeley
