  1. Health and Sanitation Permits and Fees

    The Department of Health and Human Services, Environmental Health Division, is proposing to increase fees by 8% for Fiscal Year 2005-2006, 7% for Fiscal Year 2006-2007, and 7% for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 in Health and Sanitation Permits and Fees for Fixed Units and Demand Services, to offset operating costs.  Fees in the Environmental Health Division were last adjusted in July 2004.

  2. Marina Fees

  3. Parks and Recreation Program and Facility Fees

    The City of Berkeley Parks Recreation & Waterfront Department is proposing a new fee schedule for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 park and recreation programs and facilities that establishes new fees, modifies selected existing fees, and restructures several fee categories.   4. Refuse Fees

    The Department of Public Works is proposing an eight percent rate increase for the collection of refuse and compostable materials and special services, as well as increases in fees at the City’s Solid Waste Transfer Station, to cover anticipated increases in the refuse collection and disposal costs.  A table of the existing and proposed new rates is posted at:

  5. Street Event and Certified Farmers’ Market Fees

    The City of Berkeley is proposing to establish permit filing fees for street events and Certified Farmers’ Markets.  All fees are non-refundable, and payable with the submission of the permit application packet.  Other fees may be levied, as authorized, for permanent signage, traffic control or diversion, loss of parking meter revenue, or other conditions specific to the designated location. The proposed fees would become effective on July 1, 2005.

  6. Traffic Engineering Fees

    The Office of Transportation is proposing new fees for review of development plans for residential and commercial projects which are submitted to the City of Berkeley Permit Service Center and require traffic engineering review.  A table of the proposed new rates is posted at:
