OWNERS IN THE ABOVE-NAMED UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT:
The Council of
the City of Berkeley will hold a Public Hearing to take testimony and
to hear any protests on the proposal to amend Resolution No.
56,934-N.S. to include specific dates for utility companies and parcel
owners to complete their required work.
The Public Hearing will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at
the regularly scheduled meeting in the Council Chambers located at
2134 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, California.

their work are as follows:
Telephone, Cable, Streetlight Design Start – October 2006
Telephone, Cable, Streetlight Design Completion – September 2007
Construction Start – October 2007
Construction Completion – May 2008
Construction Start – June 2008
Completion – January 2009
Conversion Work Start – October 2007
Conversion Work Completion – May 2008
In August 2007
or September 2007, Engineering staff will mail out an informational
packet with requirements and specifications for the conversation work
on your property. The
conversion work does not need to be done at this time and it is better
if you wait for the Underground Utility District to be designed before
starting any conversion work.
For those parcels that have already done their conversion work,
PG&E and Engineering staff will work with those particular parcels
to ensure they can be connected to the underground facility.
