Implementation Plan (2005- 2009) for the
West Berkeley REDEVELOPMENT Project Area

In accordance with the Health and Safety Code Section 33490 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (CRL), the City of Berkeley Redevelopment Agency (“Agency”) has prepared new a Five-Year Implementation Plan for the West Berkeley Project Area. The purpose of this Implementation Plan is to identify specific goals, programs, projects, and estimated expenditures for the West Berkeley Redevelopment Project Area for the five-year period from 2005 to 2009.
According to California Law, the Redevelopment Agency must conduct at least one public hearing for the Five-Year Implementation Plan and hear testimony of all interested parties for the purpose of reviewing the redevelopment plan and the corresponding implementation plan for each redevelopment project within the jurisdiction, and for evaluating the progress of the redevelopment project.

Anyone wishing to speak at the public hearing may receive a speaker card from the City Clerk at the start of the Council meeting up until the closure of the public hearing.
