NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Berkeley Redevelopment Agency will conduct a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the 2005 – 2009 Five-Year Implementation Plan for the West Berkeley Redevelopment Project Area including adding a West Berkeley Circulation Master Plan, seed money for circulation enhancements, and development funds for 1631 Fifth Street. The revised Plan also increases funding for the Aquatic Park Connection Streetscape Improvement project, eliminates streetscape improvements on 5th, Virginia, and Cedar Streets, and defers funding decisions for Second Street paving and the Gilman Interchange until completion of the Circulation Master Plan.
The proposed revisions to the Implementation Plan are available in the Redevelopment offices on the 3rd floor of the Planning Department at 2118 Milvia Street. Anyone wishing to speak at the public hearing may receive a speaker card from the Agency Clerk at the start of the Redevelopment Agency meeting up until the closure of the public hearing.
Written comments should be mailed or delivered directly to the Agency Clerk, 2180 Milvia Street, Berkeley, CA 94704, in order to ensure delivery to all Boardmembers and inclusion in the agenda packet. Comments received no later than Monday, November 27, 2006 will be included in Redevelopment Agency agenda packets.
