      Recommendation:  Approve minutes of the meeting of February 13, 2002.

       

  7. PUBLIC HEARING

     

    1. Marina/Nature Center Fees for 2002-2003*

      From:  Waterfront Manager

      Recommendation:  Conduct a public hearing and upon conclusion consider the following for recommendation to the City Council:  a minimum 3% increase in berth rates beginning July 1, 2002; elimination of the current houseboat fee schedule and establishment of a berth rate schedule for houseboats that is the same as for cruising live-aboards; consider increases in fees for specific recreation programs in the Marina; and eliminate the credit for lock boxes.

    1. Eastshore State Park Land and Water Use Guidelines*

      Active Recreational Uses for the Albany Plateau in the Eastshore State Park General Plan*

      From:  Waterfront Manager

      Recommendation:   1)  Adopt revised Proposed Land and Water Use Guidelines for the Eastshore State Park; and 2) make comments and/or recommendations on the issue of active recreational uses for the Albany Plateau in the Eastshore State Park General Plan; recommendations to be submitted to the City Council for its meeting of March 19, 2002.

       

    2. Feasibility Study for H & I Docks (from 2/13/02)*

      From:  Waterfront Manager

      Recommendation:   Appoint a subcommittee of the Waterfront Commission to work with the consultants on the feasibility study for H & I Docks.

       

    3. Proposed Policy for Naming and Renaming of Public Facilities*

      From:  Waterfront Manager

      Recommendation:   Recommend to the City Council any suggested changes or recommend adoption as proposed.

       

    4. Marina Use Fees for Charter Vessels Docked at Lessee Docks*

      From:  Marina Manager

      Recommendation:  Recommend the City Council adopt a use fee of $.50 per customer for charters docked in private docks in the Marina, to be paid annually to the Berkeley Marina for use of the harbor and parking areas, to compensate the Berkeley Marina for services and for use of Marina facilities.
