Welcome

Welcome to the City of Berkeley First Source Employment Program. Our objective is to improve the quality of life through the access and development of employment opportunities, while meeting the needs of local employers to find qualified workers for their job openings. Though we serve only Berkeley residents we link with employers from across the San Francisco Bay Area.

Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our staff can also assist you in developing job specifications and establishing salary ranges or interview schedules.

Call First Source for Construction Employees

Call the First Source Construction Employment program for reliable laborers, carpenters, and other tradespersons for private or municipal building projects. Job seekers are referred to contractors immediately. Follow-up contact insures that there is a proper match of worker to job. The First Source Construction Employment program works with apprenticeship programs and cooperates with unions on union jobs.
