The
Turkey Ride is a 216 mile bicycle ride from BPD to South Lake Tahoe, for
the purpose of raising money for the Berkeley Boosters Holiday Food Basket
Program. The money is used to buy frozen turkeys (thus the name) and other
food items that we give away to needy Berkeley families at Thanksgiving
and Christmas. Last year we gave away 550 food baskets
