Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the largest division within the Police Department and is administered by a Patrol Captain, four uniformed Lieutenants and a Lieutenant that directs the operations of the Special Enforcement Unit (SEU).

The division includes seven uniformed Patrol Teams, Bicycle Patrol, Special Enforcement Unit, Community Services Bureau (CSB) and the Police Reserves. The Barricaded Subject Hostage Negotiation Team (BSHNT), the Crowd Management Team (CMT), the Bomb Squad and the Field Training Officer (FTO) program also function within the Patrol Division.

For a complete list of Officers, click the Beat Officer's Assignment list for Sept. 23, 2007 - January 12, 2008.  In a 24-hour period, each beat has 6 officers patrolling their neighborhoods.  Officers report to their Patrol Sergeant and are in constant communication with other divisions to work on community projects and community safety.
