The School Zone

The Berkeley Police Department is committed to the improvement of Police-youth relations. We proudly have an officer fulltime at  Berkeley High School.  The school resource officer carries on the tradition of Police Officers as healthy Role Models and Mentors.

The School Resource Officer (SRO) spends the majority of the day at the school site. They work closely with school officials and students to maintain a safe and healthy environment at the school. The officer is involved with programs such as coaching, tutoring, advisor, conflict management, mentoring and violence prevention.
