On January
28, 2002 at approximately 9:30a.m.., Officers were responding to the
2000 block of Blake Street for a disturbance.
As they were arriving they heard a gunshot and then saw a woman
with a handgun. The woman immediately surrendered to
the police. Thus far it has been determined that
there was some sort of physical altercation between the victim of the
shooting and a woman living at the residence, not the person responsible
for the shooting. The
victim does not live there. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to
the thigh and was transported to Highland Hospital by ambulance. No one is in custody at this time and
the matter is under investigation. |
