RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY AND ASSAULT

BERKELEY—On January 17, a residential robbery and assault occurred in the 3300 block of Claremont Ave.  The suspect entered the residence and confronted the 60-year-old female resident.  The suspect demanded money and used a sharp object to assault the victim.  The suspect took money from the victim and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as follows:  Black male adult, approximately 27-32 years old, 5’7, 165 pounds, thin build, short black hair, clean shaven, last seen wearing a dark shirt and dark colored pants.  The Police Department has obtained a composite sketch of the suspect.  The composite sketch is being distributed to the public in an effort to identify the suspect.
