FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** Contact: RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY AND ASSAULT
BERKELEY—On
January 17, a residential robbery and assault occurred in the 3300 block
of Claremont Ave. The
suspect entered the residence and confronted the 60-year-old female
resident. The suspect
demanded money and used a sharp object to assault the victim.
The suspect took money from the victim and fled on foot in an
unknown direction. The suspect
is described as follows: Black
male adult, approximately 27-32 years old, 5’7, 165 pounds, thin
build, short black hair, clean shaven, last seen wearing a dark shirt
and dark colored pants. The
Police Department has obtained a composite sketch of the suspect.
The composite sketch is being distributed to the public in an
effort to identify the suspect. The Police
Department is seeking the public’s help in solving this case. If you have any information regarding the suspect in this
