Carjacking / Sexual Assault Police Seeking 

The Community's Help  

Berkeley, CA. – 11-25-03 at approximately 9:30 am, a female victim was parking her vehicle in the area of Stuart Street and Shattuck Avenue.  A man approached her with a knife and entered her car.  In the course of the crime the victim was sexually assaulted by her assailant and driven to Oakland.

The suspect is described as:

Black male adult, medium complexion, 25 to 30 years old, approximately 6 feet, 170 lbs., short hair, unshaven face with a mustache, wearing a navy blue windbreaker, dark front teeth possibly from decay.

Investigators are exploring every avenue to apprehend the suspect, including the use of a sketch artist.  While we continue to work hard in the case, we need the communities help.  We ask that anyone who was in the area and may have information, contact our Sex Crimes Detectives at 510-981-5735 or email tips to police@ci.berkeley.ca.us
