Police Need Help

Witness Needed To Step Forward

Berkeley, CA.On Saturday, September 13, 2003, at 7:05 p.m., a woman was walking home after getting off the bus.  Two males approached her at Woolsey Street and Tremont Street.  One of them brandished her with a handgun and demanded her purse.  This suspect then grabbed her purse and both suspects ran away.  They may have fled in a green 4-door car similar to a Toyota Tercel.

The suspects are described as;

1.      Black male adult, approximately 20 years old, 5’10”, 165lbs., slim build, dark complexion and black hair.  He was wearing a white t-shirt and baggy blue jeans.

2.      Black male adult, approximately 20 years old, 5’10”, 165lbs., slim build, dark complexion and black hair.  He was wearing a dark baseball hat, baggy blue jeans and a white or black t-shirt.

A woman carrying a guitar and riding her bicycle saw what happened.  She stopped to help the victim and followed the suspects as they fled.  However, this Good Samaritan left before the police arrived so we were unable to contact her and obtain important suspect details and information.

The Berkeley Police Department is seeking the public’s help in solving this case and especially needs the witness of this crime to contact us.  If you have any information regarding the suspects in this crime, please call the Berkeley Police Department Robbery Detail at 510-981-5742.  Refer to Case #03-52706.
